About Me
Geoffrey Kibii is a Licensed Counselling Psychologist and Court-Accredited Mediator working with Behavioral Research Institute (BRI) – Kenya. BRI offers private mediation and court mandated mediation (ADR). Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) refers to the different ways people can resolve disputes without a trial.
These process is generally confidential, less formal, and less stressful than traditional court proceedings.
In the ADR process, the parties negotiate a settlement to the conflict. If a settlement is reached through negotiation, the parties will create a settlement agreement outlining the details of their arrangement. This settlement can be registered in court for adoption.
The mission of BRI Counseling and Psychological Services is to aid in the emotional and psychological development of clients for the purpose of enhancing performance in various areas of life; We evaluate and resolve relationship problems within the family. Diagnose and treat psychological disorders within a family context.
We also help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. We offer disaster management, grief and loss debriefing, career counseling, industrial and organizational counseling. We have therapy that focuses on young children, teens, and adolescents with one or more mental illnesses and mentoring programs for children and teens.
We offer outpatient rehabilitation services through the process of psychotherapeutic treatment for dependency on psychoactive substances such as alcohol, prescription drugs. We also offer anger management counseling and Professional Mediation.
